Laurice

Perhaps, I should gather some raindrops
To sustain our memories with
For it to not wither and die
Being spring-forth by forgetting
By your absence and time...

Perhaps, I should stop the sun
From setting in the sky,
So that I may have light
To brighten the road I'd take
Darkened by you being out of my sight...

Perhaps, I should ask the wind
Not to blow your sails away
Instead, blow mine towards yours
Just like how clouds chase the sunlight,
High above promontories asight...

Perhaps, I should shake the earth
For us to never be apart
Quakes will make you embrace me,
Making you a heartbeat away
Even just for the last time...

Perhaps, I should continue to believe
So that when the clock strikes love
I'd be running with open arms,
I'd never ever waste a chance
Just to be back in your arms...

Laurice, hope you'll forgive me for using your stanza (first stanza). I know I don't deserve to use it nor have the right to convert it to a "poem"--if this qualifies to be called so.
