2008 Person of the Year

2008 Person of the Year:
Barack Obama
President, United States of America

One of the noisiest names on TV, internet, and even in radio programs for 2008 was the 44th United States president's. Barack Obama became better known not just in the United States but to the world during the US election primaries wherein he battled neck-to-neck with co-democrat New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, Obama was then Illinois Senator. After a long primary battle, Obama formally claimed the highest US government position on November 4 after winning the election against Republican candidate Sen. John McCain. Obama became the First Black President of the US. His win didn't just gave hope to crisis-laden United States but also became an inspiration for the rest of the world.

From his speeches, particularly after he won the election, the core of his message has always been this:
"Change has come to America."
Ten points for Obama!
