Indigo Sunsets: Tacloban City and Basey (Samar)

It's been awhile since my last post here. Anyway, just want to share a few of my photos I captured after Super Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda--the strongest typhoon in recent history to make landfall--ravaged my hometown (Basey, Samar) and homecity (Tacloban City, Philippines) last November 08, 2013.

These photos were taken about 6 days from the day of that fateful event which took thousands and changed our lives forever. The views are from the top of Guintolyan Hill, Basey, Samar where Basey District Hospital seats together with the ruins of a watch-tower which guarded the town from Moro raids during the pre-hispanic era.

Haiyan/Yolanda might have taken much from our lives, but it wasn't able to take away the beauty of the place we call home.
