About 13 days before Super Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan hit the heart of Eastern Visayas, I had the chance to take pictures of the Palo Metropolitan Cathedral in Palo, Leyte, which stood magnificently with its newly-renovated interior and exterior at that time.
Our class had to take an exam in UP Manila School of Health Sciences--which is just across the street from the cathedral's facade. After taking the exam--rather, shading my test paper's answer sheet--I immediately went out to wait for my classmates who were religiously answering their test. Without prior plans, I suddenly found myself taking snaps of the cathedral's beauty.
